Mwani Zanzibar in Paje has found a great way to generate a significantly higher income from seaweed harvesting compared to selling it as raw produce – creating appealing and nutritious beauty products “made in Zanzibar”. The seaweed supplies the skin with moisture and is known for its anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, ingredients such as clove, turmeric, lemongrass and coffee make sure your skin receives only the best of nutrients.

Choose your favorite among the different soaps, scrubs and massage oils Mwani Zanzibar has to offer. The workshop facilities are located in Paje on the east coast of Zanzibar, making it a 100% local production. The majority of the ingredients are certified organic and are carefully sourced throughout East Africa in order to guarantee outstanding quality of the different components. A share of the profits is used to support a local seaweed not-for-profit organization which is deciding over what is currently needed in the village, be it education or community supplies.
